OPENING AND PROCEDURES

We want to take a moment to thank our amazing patients for working with us as we continue to adapt and respond to the needs of our patients and the ongoing threat of COVID.  Your safety and health of your eyes remains our primary concern and we appreciate your continuing understanding and cooperation.

Within the changed landscape, we continue to follow both the CDC and the NJ Optometric Association's guidelines for safe practices to make sure that your eyecare can take place in a safe environment.  Some of the changes that remain in place, and they seem to a good idea with or without COVID, include:

• All examinations and services are still by appointment only, where possible.  Our website scheduler has been updated and upgraded to give your more options for scheduling.  Emergencies happen...so don't hesitate to call us if you find yourself with and emergent problem.  Of course, if you are unable to reach us, please contact your local EMS and/or go to a local emergency room.

• We continue to limit the number patients in our waiting room at any one time.

• Our staff continues to wear appropriate masks and if necessary, upon request, we will provide you with one.  We do ask that our adult patients attend their exams without other family members or friends coming into the office.  

• All examination equipment and contact surfaces continue to be sanitized in between every patient.

• Hand sanitizer is available throughout the office.  

• All eyewear on display has been sanitized and all selections that are worn/touched or tried on are sanitized between patients.

We are continuing to ask that if a patient has been diagnosed with COVID or has been in contact with anyone who has been confirmed with COVID within 14 days of your exam, that you take care to assure your own health and to reschedule your appointment.  We will work with you to assure a smooth transition of your appointment.   In the event of an emergency, please do not hesitate to contact us and, if you are unable to reach us, proceed to your nearest emergency room.

Although we all feel the pressure and inconvenience of the 2020 epidemic, and it can still be a difficult time,  we appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding...it is truly out of care, concern and respect for all of us that we have these procedures in place.
